The Route 66 Car Club of Flagstaff was formed by a group of automobile enthusiasts in 1983. We welcome all types of vehicles, including older classics, street rods, restorations, trucks, foreign cars, rat rods, and even tractors.
The Route 66 Car Club of Flagstaff brings together people who share a love of cars, community, and the legendary Route 66 “Mother Road.” Our members enjoy a variety of social activities throughout the year, including car shows, cruises, culinary outings, parades, and community car displays. We are proud to support our local community by participating in area events and contributing to local charitable organizations. Most importantly, there are no restrictions on the type, make, model, or year of vehicle you own—membership simply begins with a love of cars and an interest in sharing that enthusiasm with others.
Many of our members have a
particular affinity for “The Mother
Road”, having grown up on or near
the old link connecting Chicago and
Santa Monica, CA.
The Club currently welcomes all types of vehicles. Our “inventory” now includes older classics, specialty cars, restorations, racing cars, trucks, motorcycles and even tractors—something for everyone.
The club is comprised of an eclectic group of friends who enjoy meeting new people with a common interest in all kinds of vehicles as well as the fellowship and camaraderie of our members. OUR PRIMARY GOAL IS TO HAVE FUN!! We do this by participating in various social events in and around Flagstaff and northern Arizona, “hanging out” with fellow members, organizing and going on cruises and rallies, supporting our Community by actively participating in local events, taking part in and contributing to charitable events, causes and organizations–all while promoting an interest in automobiles and other vehicles. Our members also enter their cars, trucks (and tractors) in CAR SHOWS around the southwest. Many of our members also belong to other car organizations such as The Goodguys, Classic Thunderbird Club International (CTCI) as well as many others. Competing at car shows requires the grueling preparation and constant fiddling with the cars; shining this, polishing that, the never-ending attention to detail. Notice the effort exhibited by the hard-working crew shown here at a show in Winslow (left).
